Frozen

"Frozen" is a photographic project that captures the beauty of flowers in Hong Kong while reflecting on the passage of time. The artist hand-picks seasonal flowers, drawn not only to their unique colours and shapes but also to the memories they evoke from her childhood—visiting the Government House to admire azaleas in April and watching dragon boat racing during the ixora bloom in June.

To preserve the beauty of these flowers and the memories they inspire, she places them in various containers, adds water, and freezes them into distinctive ice blocks. The brilliant colours in each photograph convey joy, while the intricate details of the bubbles celebrate life’s vitality. As the ice melts, it symbolizes the passage of time, transforming memories into enduring love.
