Bless This Place

Since its outbreak in 2019, the coronavirus pandemic has not been brought under control. Instability, mutation, and infinite looping. Do we shut ourselves off in defense or coexist with the virus? Under ceaseless wait and alienation, how should we treat ourselves? Initially short in supply, masks have now become a daily fashion; will this little piece of material be our last lifeline? The artist makes use of this basic material to give new interpretation and perspective on folk traditions. She travels through different communities with her hand-sewn “hundred blessings quilt” to spread her most genuine wishes and records the journey with her camera. We pray and await for blessings on our own.
